Your Donations Go Right To Work.
Thanks to your donations, Goodwill creates lifelines for individuals with barriers
to employment. Donations are sold at one of Goodwill's retail
locations or at auction.
This practice not only helps fund our job
training and placement programs, but also offers the community an environmentally
healthy alternative for the disposal of unwanted, but still useable items. For
more information, contact Beverly
Wright , Donated Goods Manager, (302) 252-3210.

GOODWILL PARTNERS WITH DELL COMPUTERS FOR ELECTRONICS
RECYCLING PROGRAM
All of Goodwill of Delaware's donation locations are now part of the Reconnect
electronics recycling program with Dell Computers. The partnership makes it
convenient for residents to drop off computers and related accessories for free,
responsible recycling.
Since its inception in 2004, the Reconnect program has created hundreds of
green jobs for Goodwill employees who manage the recycling program. Reconnect
will allow us to expand our sustainability policy and electronics recycling
practices.to raise revenues to support our mission.
The Reconnect program allows the public to drop off used electronics, including:
monitors, computers, keyboards & mice, cables, ink and toner cartridges,
speakers and scanners for no-cost recycling. To date, the Reconnect program
has diverted more than 170 million pounds of e-waste from landfills and created
about 250 green jobs, with Goodwill employees managing the collection and disassembly
of the equipment.
Donated equipment meeting the program's quality criteria will be resold, and
devices needing repair will either be refurbished or broken down into parts
to be recycled by Dell partners.
