Consumers will learn industry demanded skills through
the use of telecommunication manuals, simulated work
stations and hands-on training. Those who successfully
complete the programs will be certified as Network Cabling

Audio/Video Entertainment Systems Specialists.
Computerized Office Skills Training Program
During the 15-week program, students develop the computer skills needed to obtain competitive employment in the clerical field. Through in-class assignments, our students learn how to create spreadsheets, write letters, perform mail merges and design PowerPoint presentations. Classes are conducted by an on-staff, certified Microsoft® instructor who promotes a supportive learning environment for individuals at all levels.
Customer Service Skills Training Program
Goodwill students prepare for competitive customer service employment in retail, hospitality and office environments. For 8-weeks, instructors provide hands-on training in a variety of areas. Students learn how to perform cash register transactions, manage irate customers, offer excellent customer assistance (in-person and over the phone) and stock and display merchandise.
Industrial Cleaning Skills Training Program
For 8-weeks, our students develop the necessary skills to obtain competitive employment in the cleaning/janitorial profession. Through hands-on training, students learn the appropriate usage of janitorial supplies and equipment. Students also develop a firm understanding of safety procedures.
Partners in Training: ShopRite Cashier Training Program
Goodwill's partnership program with The Kenny Family ShopRites of Delaware and The Wakefern Food Corp. prepares students for cashier positions at a Delaware ShopRite store. In a simulated ShopRite grocery store in Goodwill's headquarters, students learn how to properly use a cash register, scan and bag items and research product prices. In an adjacent classroom, students develop customer service and life skills.
Vocational Evaluation/Situational Assessment (VESA)
Students spend 2 weeks with Goodwill instructors who assess their skills and abilities. During this period, our instructors determine whether the students should enter a job training program or begin a job search with Goodwill's assistance.
Work Adjustment Training
Our 12-week program assists students in understanding acceptable work behavior and etiquette. Instructors introduce students to ethical practices for interacting with the public and with colleagues.
